Guardiola admits: I am responsible for state of Alcantara

The Spanish coach of Bayern Munich Pep Guardiola admitted that he was responsible for the way it has been dealt with the injury of midfielder Thiago Alcantara, not the team doctor Hans Muller Wohlfahrt.
Guardiola said Friday, when asked about the decision to travel to Spain Thiago to recover from his injury: "It was my responsibility I am, and not Dr. Muller Wohlfahrt."
The German newspaper Bild had been published earlier in the day that the setback for the Spanish midfielder, who underwent new surgery on Thursday for a right knee during the period of recovering from another injury, has caused friction between the new coach and the team doctor German.
Guardiola had been allowed to Thiago after the injury that he suffered in his knee last March to travel to Spain in order to undergo the necessary treatment there.
But the doctor was opposed to the player travel, and later criticized the way it goes in the process of recovering, he was also upset about the pressure that was exercised by Guardiola to accelerate the return of Thiago to play.
During his remarks today, Guardiola said that "Thiago spoke to me, and he wanted to return to play as soon as possible. He was thinking in the German Cup final tomorrow, and the possible involvement of the Champions League final and is retiring from Brazil."
The coach added, "Now, after the setback should be working on Thiago return to play early next season."
This is not the first time that happened friction between Guardiola and Bayern doctor, in the beginning of the season occurred a dispute between the two which requests a mediate of the club's sporting director, Matthias Sammer.
The Spanish coach has asked staying of Muller Wohlfahrt permanently in the city's sports in Bayern, but the doctor opposed it on the grounds that the players usually go to the clinic when they need treatment, and physical therapy professionals in charge of daily follow-up of physical small problems that may be happened during the exercises.
In the end, Muller Wohlfahrt succeeded, with a high position in sports medicine in Germany, to impose his will.
Bayern Munich has announced yesterday that the knee injury suffered by Thiago Alcantara would prevent him from participating in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with Spain team.
He pointed to the club that the player was injured during training on Monday in his right knee, as well as to miss the final of the German Cup on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
