Bayern Munich announced that the spanish coach Pep
Guardiola, former FC Barcelona will take over the task of training the team as
of next July for a period of three years to succeed coach Jupp Heynckes whose
contract expires in June next year.
The announcement came despite the denials club before two days by the frequency of news
about Guardiola's accession to the Bavarian club.
And Guardiola had left Barcelona last year after several
seasons full of domestic and international achievements of the Catalan club,
who did not take any team training since then, saying he needed a long
vacation.
Guardiola, 41 years , won with Barcelona on 14 championship
and succeeded in leading the team to win the Champions League in 2009 and 2011.
Several teams have recently sought to annex Guardiola
including Chelsea and Real Madrid, but Guardiola chose to join Bayern.
President Karl-Heinz Romenaijih said via the official
website of Bayern "Jupp Heynckes informed us before Christmas that he will
leave his post at the end of the current season, we has our understanding of
his decision, whether a club or friends to him. We had to accept that decision
and respect it, we has been confirmed during the personal talks with him, we
will do our best during the second half of the 2012-2013 season in order to
give Bayern the title. "
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of Bayern Said
"Guardiola is one of the most successful coaches in the world and we are
confident that his joining to the team will not only help the Bavarians in the
German sparkle, but the ball a whole."
The club's official website confirmed that the Bavarian
coach Jupp Heynckes will complete the team's current season until the end and
then Guardiola will train Bayern until the end of the season 2015-2016.
