The Spanish coach of Bayern Munich Josep Guardiola Warned his
players Tuesday from underestimating of Hamburg when the two sides meet on
Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the German Cup.
Bayern are looking to advance a new step on the road to
defend his title in the tournament, but Guardiola feared overconfidence among
his players in the face of Hamburg-tensioned in the current season.
Guardiola said "the situation in Hamburg makes confrontation
with them extremely dangerous," adding to his players: "Tomorrow will
not win the title but it is possible to lose."
Bayern plays in confrontation tomorrow amid the best
possible conditions for being the best team in the world, as the team leads the
top of the table Bundesliga (DFL) and deserved far ahead of his closest rivals.
The situation is in stark contrast to the Hamburg-placed
Bundesliga table before the latter became threatened relegation for the first
time in its history.
Guardiola said "it seemed to Hamburg players that they seek
to react in the confrontation of Bayern Munich. Cup is other competition of the
Bundesliga. They depend on each game at a time."
Guardiola also praised Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk, coach
of Hamburg, saying "It is a great coach and led the Dutch team to the
World Cup final."
Among the few things that haunt Guardiola, highlights the
player Toni Kroos who expressed resentment of sitting up in the last two
matches of the team is confident to return to the starting lineup for the team
tomorrow.
Guardiola said "it is not the first time that the
player criticizing my decisions ... I feel
angry when they do not participate in the games. It's something i accept it."
The mystery also surrounds the participation of
international player Bastian Schweinsteiger with the team in tomorrow's game
after a long absence due to injury in the back but is expected to sit on the bench
at least.
Guardiola said about the player who suffered from injury and
missed out of action for more than two months and needs some time to return.
